"The Joy of Finding Your Life's Work"

For leaders, established and new, and for people who work with them, a Coach will help you become more effective.
A supervisor, reports into a manager, who reports to a vice-president. The supervisor knows more about the company and the department than both her manager and vice-president, but she is afraid to speak up in meetings. She is not certain her point will add significant value; she frequently says nothing and does whatever is asked of her.
This client began coaching with Cecile because she wanted to be recognized for her knowledge and to be seen as a leader. She wanted to accomplish this by her next performance review, which was 9 months away.
From her assessment we determined that she needed to work on the following: risk taking, self-confidence and leadership skills.
A strategic plan was set up based on her goals. In her weekly ½-hour phone coaching session, we focused on and implemented actions on the following:
“It was great to schedule a weekly meeting to discuss “me.” Cecile was flexible enough in her coaching technique to allow me to structure a more mentor/student approach – which I was better able to thrive and learn from. Cecile takes great notes from our sessions and always kept me on task. I found it most helpful when, in our coaching sessions, Cecile would not allow me to downgrade my unique skills or to sell myself short, reminding me repeatedly, that “you don’t need the title to be a leader.” Cecile helped me through the negotiations with a major promotion, where, I believe, I left nothing “on the table.”
