Meet Cecile

Cecile Peterkin, a charismatic and inspiring woman, is the founder and president of Cosmic Coaching Centre (CCC). Through the Centre, Cecile provides a host of coaching solutions for Career, Leadership and Life development. She offers personalized one-on-one coaching sessions and inspirational group sessions as well as a collection of e-books and courses based on her more than 17 years of experience as a manager, leader and counselor. Her personal development and online career counseling strategies and products will help you tap into your talents, take control of your life, and discover a more enjoyable way to live and work.

Prior to becoming a coach, Cecile spent over 17 years in the Financial Industry as a Senior Manager of Operations and Administration for one of Canada’s larger Mutual Fund Companies with over $7 billion of assets under management and 30 funds. The sale of the company forced Cecile to pursue her passion – working with people to help them have a meaningful life, advancement and growth.

Cecile is a certified Career Coach, Retirement Coach and Speaker as well as a member of the International Coach Federation and the Career Professionals of Canada.

Expertise in the areas of personal development, mentoring, train-the-trainer, project management, adult learning, training, instructing and facilitating are the result of her years of formal and informal training and personal experience. Cecile publishes Recipe for Success, a free monthly E-zine on living and achieving success both personally and professionally. Her articles and tips have appeared in several publications. She has been featured on television and radio. Cecile is also the author of the e-book The Career Management Guide, the elite career guidance you need to manage your career.

Seeking to help women, children and the disadvantaged to uncover the joy in their own lives, Cecile is actively involved in the community through various volunteer organizations.

Community Involvement

Since 1995, Cecile has been deeply committed to the work New Directions is carrying out in helping divorced, separated and widowed women resume their lives, and has contributed to their efforts tirelessly, including Co-Chairing the 2002 annual luncheon and Fashion Show, the most important fundraising event of each year for this organization. New Directions is about "women helping women to make successful transitions, rebuild their lives and embark on new directions."

Cecile likewise supports the Junior League of Toronto, an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Cecile has also been a volunteer at the Children's Aid Society from 1996, and has been the recipient of a of a 5-year pin, as well as a Volunteer Recognition Certificate from the staff at the Toronto East branch. Children's Aid Society's mission is to "protect children from abuse and neglect, help parents build healthy families and provide a safe, nurturing place for children and young adults to grow up and realize their dreams."

Furthermore, Cecile has contributed to the success of Fife House by serving on the Development Committee and working on its first fundraiser. The Fife House is an organization that provides "secure and affordable supportive housing and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS."

Cecile has also donated her time and flagless energy to the Distress Centres of Toronto, which awarded her in 2001 with a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation for her volunteer work at Distress Centre Two.

In addition, Cecile has also found the time to add value in the political arena at the civic level, and has been recognized for her outstanding contributions as a volunteer in 2001 by Mayor Mel Lastman and The City of Toronto.
